How old ...
I would be twenty. I’m actually twenty-two, but I’ve always felt like I should be younger. I relate better to those a couple years younger than I am already, and I often wonder how my life could have been different if I had accomplished everything a year or two earlier. I wouldn’t want to go back to when I was twenty and relive it, but instead I feel like I am that age with all...

You Unlock this Blog ...
… with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension.
I have a slight obsession with The Twilight Zone. I can speak with the same intonation as Rod Serling, and often do when reciting the introductions to some of my favorite episodes aloud with him. Luckily for me, I get to practice this each New Year’s with my favorite television marathon ever.
So today I’m counting...
My Family Is Crazy
Yeah, yeah. Everyone says that. But really, my family is insane. If we weren’t all successful productive members of society, we’d probably be committed. The dynamic in my family is interesting on its own, but get us together during the holidays, and oh boy, is it fantastic.
Christmas makes me think about all the things we do and the strange ways in which we accomplish them. We have...

Holiday Cakes
My cupcakes continuously get eaten before I have time to take pictures of them to put here. (Read: I keep forgetting). I’ll just describe the last three I made, and you can imagine them in your mind. They were delicious. I’m sure the 272 folks can vouch for that, since they disappeared pretty quickly.
I found some pictures online of some of the inspiration and ingredients, which might...

I apologize ...
for my complete failure to keep this blog going as it should be. I got distracted by a side project. My sister and I started a blog together, and that has been taking up a lot of my time. Also, I got a paid freelance writing job, so I’ve been busy busy.
I miss this though, writing for myself and about myself and my cupcakes. And my music. And my gymnastics. You know, basically my life. I...

I love nickels and dimes too ...
I’m glad I’m graduating before this silly semester thing happens. I just have one question, albeit cliche:
If 90% of other colleges and universities jumped off a bridge, would RIT do that too?
Being that one of the main arguments was that less than 10% of schools still exist on the quarter system, I’m going with YES.

Best of Bootie 2009 →
I’ve always had a weak spot for mash-ups. I blame Legion of Doom and their way of combining Dashboard Confessional with Brand New, or Thursday with the Get-Up Kids. Those guys didn’t make it onto this album of some of the best mash-ups created in 2009, but some interesting things certainly did. Here’s some highlights.
I Got More Than a Feeling - I was skeptical, two-fold. First...
